The app had been removed from the Windows store to degree it could be. It didn't show up when searching for it in the app store or on the Windows website. I was in contact with the developer who contacted Microsoft about making sure it was delisted (there was a hangup with their lack of access to their old developer email). If one searches for the app in Google, Google will still return a listing for it. We couldn't figure out how Google was finding it because for all intents and purposes, it was no longer listed. One of the weird mysteries of Microsoft is that it has popped up again. This is beyond frustrating at this point. Another reason I'm firmly in the Apple camp.

The Windows app was never an official RP product. It was produced by a third-party company that is no longer in business, and we have no way to remove it from the app store — which we definitely would do, since it's hopelessly out of date and no longer supported. Please don't use it. Our web player is way, way better.

I noticed the streams (downloaded to app and web player) seem to be cutting William short. He'll start to say something and the Bumper pops in and next song starts.

RP app should work in the background,  but if another apps starts using audio,  that will stop the RP app.  

I have been a loyal listener for many years.  I noticed that the iPad app now stops playing if you switch tasks.  Is this new and I never noticed?  I like to listen and do other things but this doesn’t seem possible anymore.  Am I missing something?

The following bug I stumbled on in the Windows app, but I suspect it might need fixing in the website that's being loaded (DB query).

I was (for the first time) using the Windows app (on W11) to listen to RP, song playing was Levellers - Too Real - Mouth to Mouth (1997). I was reading the comments for that song. It showed there are 113 comments, divided over 3 pages. However, the pages display 20 comments per page, with the 3rd page being 13 comments long.

This would seem to indicate the database query is retrieving 50 comments, but then only 20 comments are output. Then on the next page, the db query is on to the next 50, and again only 20 displayed. On the 3rd and final page/db query, the last 13 comments are returned and all shown, being less than 20.

The reason I noticed, is because I was following a comment quoting another, quoting another, and couldn't find the quoted comment. The 113 comments stood out to me, as the pages didn't feel like 50 comments long, so I counted them, which verified there was a bug. The very next song had 41 comments, again only 20 visible and just 1 page.

Also, I had a heck of a time trying to log in to the Windows app, because:

1. it didn't accept my e-mail address. I didn't immediately realize it only takes usernames. I had to log in to the RP website (with my e-mail) to find out what I'd chosen as my username. I had forgotten to store my username in my password database.
2. Trying to use my password database, I couldn't switch to it when trying to fill in the log in form, as the login form keeps closing as soon as you switch to another window. I couldn't do auto-type (from KeePass), and couldn't do it manually, copying username, alt-tab to RP app, paste, alt-tab back to password database, copy password, alt-tab back and paste the password. Every time the login form was gone again......

My username is very short, so I got in by first copying my password, then going to the login screen and typing my username and pasting my password, but—thanks to KeePass—I normally never (have to) type any login details anywhere.

We are currently rebuilding ALL of the Android apps. Automotive, mobile, tablet, TV version, etc... We pushed what will probably be the last real update to the older versions and will be releasing the new versions incrementally as we finish them. The Automotive is first up and that's nearly ready. After that, we will be developing the mobile/tablet/TV versions over the rest of the fall and winter. There will be beta versions first for our testers and finally the public release somewhere towards the beginning of the year.

Yes, the endless repeats on all (?) RP channels quickly become annoying.   
But no complaints.  How lucky are we that RP exists at all, and is usually so dependable ?  Outages and wobbles are such rare events.

My kindle Fire has stopped downloading streams. My old de-googled phone and my new one both seem to do it fine. I'm not sure what to do as the old phone has a sketchy USB power connection and I use my Fire for music at work. I'll run out of stream next week, and work radio needs a sound jack to work (new phone one of those missing such)
