I especially liked the thundering roar when they move up to the starting line. I don't know if it was the acoustics of being in between two structures as they pulled up, or if they were doing something different with their engines....but it just sort of rose above the normal din...like the cars were singing. Then to actually see them blurring down the track like lightning...I had to stop my bike and just go {#Eek}.

Did a 20 mile bike ride on a path that took me through colorful spring blossoms, rushing streams, neighborhoods where yummy things were cooking on the grille, past a drag-racing track (can I admit that speeding cars and the sound of roaring engines gets me all excited??), and all the while the fresh smell of spring on the wind...and a soft-focus setting sun hanging in the west on my way home.
Ahhhhh. Just what I needed.
