Two beasts
One bargain
Let 'em out
For the show
Two dreams
One coffin
Let 'em out
Before they go
Before they go
Before they go
Down on Lacy
She is real good
Down on Lacy
Yeah, she should play
Been a pawn
In this picture
She's been everyone's
Point of view
You keep holding on
And you never let go
You keep holding on
And you never let go
Two beasts
One burden
Let 'em out
So they grow
Two wings unbroken
Let 'em out
Free to fly home
And you keep on keepin' on
With your head to the wind
And you keep on keepin' on
And you will win, yeah!
You never say nothin'
When you're hoping for something
You never say nothin'
When you're searching for something
Two beasts
One bargain
Let 'em out
To enjoy the show
Two dreams
One open coffin
Let 'em out
Before they go
You keep holding on
And you never let go
You keep holding on
And you never let go
Oh, you never let go
No you never let go

Oh my, what a blast to the past. I have at least 5 Why Store CDs at home. Need to listen to them again!
Sounds very bar band. Nothing special Im afraid. the 5 rating looks well deserved.

Enjoying the music Very much this morning.

The Why Store is a local Indianapolis band that had a big hit with Lack of Water in the mid 90's. They just reformed on Dec 31, 2002 and Chris Shaffer the lead singer has a new band called Shaffer Street. I am a huge fan and have been for years. You can check them out at Shafferstreet.com.
Right. I would rather hear "Lack of Water" though. This song can go back to being unknown for all I care.....
Lead singer seems to have the "Creeping Creed" in his throat... :fever.gif:
Is this Matchbox Hootie?
Just not my thing.....
I've heard other stuff by these guys that I've liked...I've also heard hey were a great live band....but I'm sorry, this sounds just like Hootie...that's who I thought it was until I hit the playlist. Uncanny, really.
These guys were around way before Hootie. VERY fun band to see live. They still get together once and a while.

Agreed. Sound slike Hootie and the Blowfish.
You are joking right? You do realize that Darius Rucker is the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish don't you?
I like these guys, they came around all the time in college. Although this isn't their best. They really rock. Shame they are no longer together
These guys sound like CollectivePuddleofDefaultBoxNickelGoo.... and the Blowfish.
Which came first? the Hootie or the Why Store?
very generic... no sir, I don't like it at all

My feelings exactly.

Yeah, I like it when I hear a band I like but haven't listened to in years - I'll add the Why Store to my list of RP resurrections!

It\'s good to see Hootie making music again.
Sound good. Good lyrics. Nothing here to complain about. Let\'s hear more!

I do think this is a pretty hootie-esque, but its not that bad, kind of reminds me of Cat Stevens, which can forgive the Hootie influence.
Hey, it\'s Hootie and the Blowfish. No?
Nice song, would like to listen to it again. It\'s got a bit of a gospel influence (apart from the title!), which I appreciate.

You can't judge The Why Store or any other band by one song. No way do they sound like Hootie and the Blowfish and they were around before Hootie anyway.
