Ooh, hoo
Ooh, hoo
Ooh
And in the end we shall achieve in time
The thing they call divine
And all the stars will smile, for me
When all is well and well is all for all
And forever after
Maybe in the meantime wait and see-yeah
We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you
And when I cry for me I cry for you
With tears of holy joy
For all the days of still to come
And did I ever say I'd never play
Or fly toward the sun
Maybe in the meantime something's sung
We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you
That sounds fine so I'll see you sometime
Give my love to the future of a-humankind
Okay, okay, it's not okay
Ooh while it's on my mind there's a girl that fits the crime
For a future love dream, that I'm still to find
But in the meantime
We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you
We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you-yeah
Love the all the all of you
Lands are green and skies are blue
Just like you
We're just like you
We're just like, we're just like
Just like you
Just like you
We're just like you
We're just like, just like
Just like you
He did an awesome version of this tune.
Of course, not many in the audience knew what the he was doing
but I sure as hell did!!!!
my friend megan dated the lead for a minute. then, she also dated courtney, the lead of the dandy warhols for a bit. and evan dando was quite smitten with her as well.
she had it going on in the 90s NY scene. i always think of her when i hear this song.
How's Megan nowadays?

A little Penguin Café Orchestra Telephone And Rubber band sample...maybe
Yeah, when the son started I got all excited that it was PCO. Love that band.
Hard to believe your comment is 14 years old!
This one hit was so awesome that there was nothing left for number two.
Mungo City got a good bit of airplay for a while.
Hard to believe it's now twice as old!
Succumb to the magic of maths. Now.

Ha!
hah. for the longest time i thought it was "the love beyond you"
This track always disappoints because I think it's going to be Telephone and Rubber Band :(
90s radio loved it too
Um, that's a busy signal.
British Telecom System "ringing" tone. Same one used in "Telephone Line" by ELO. Actually, ELO use a Moog to synthesize the tones after calling numbers in England.
Um, that's a busy signal.
it seemed fresh and somewhat new
I don't know why I like this song, but I do. And I like it really loud, too.
Thanks for the contemporary definition. There's also this one:
awful (adj.)
c. 1300, agheful "worthy of respect or fear," from aghe, an earlier form of awe (n.), + -ful. The Old English word was egefull. Weakened sense "very bad" is from 1809; weakened sense of "exceedingly" is by 1818.
I'm not sure if either definition fits this tune.
"He landed a job killing rats in the basement of an espresso bar, and although the work was less than desirable, he managed to meet guitarist (and fellow U.K. native) Antony Langdon at the shop. The two soon decided to visit topless bars and jam together."
Glad they had their priorities straight!
Twas a young Jonny Cragg that stopped killing those rats. Got to know him in his post-Spacehog, pre- Spacehog reunion band, the Twenty Two's.
I'd gladly listen to an FM station that played Spacehog... Can't get enough!
Not a band tune, but I don't hear that "howling" which you described, but perhaps if you had written "castrated coyotes caterwauling"...
It's surprisingly good and was a nice addition to 2013's music. If I didn't have such dismal LRC/Upload luck, I might try to upload a couple tracks to RP. Check out Oh, Dinosaur and I Wish You Well.

Oh, are you starting a megachurch too?
The beginning of this ditty reminds me of Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
The boys sure did like them some Bowie. Here's to the former son-in-law of Steven Tyler. And the former drummer for The Twenty Twos.
Same here! I think I've been fooled by this one before, though. I lost my Penguin Cafe Orchestra CD that had that song forever ago, long before I made digital copies of everything. I might just have to buy it again.
Really.....what a let down
I agree
Why times are not good for you now...?
Song does not work at all on RP!
Not for me, at least!

Hence the 'resident alien' tag, I suppose ...
A most excellent hypothesis!
Me too!
You bet - has me reaching for the volume knob every time.
One of the best tunes of the 90s
If they'd break it up with Mungo City they'd be fine. but no...play and replay. . . Listening to both you would think Silversuns only had Lazy Eye as a single...so what does one expect.
was just in DFW and caught 91.7. it's really good.

They were from Leeds, England but formed the band in the US.

When I first heard this song, I thought: "this sounds like radiohead" (back then 'the bends' was the new release) and "they stole the opening riff from 'telephone and rubber band' by Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
Unfortunately, after giving Spacehog plenty of time to show their true colors, they have proven to be a "one-hit wonder" group.
edit: I just read the rest of the comments, and realize that I have nothing original to say, except to recommend the Penguin Cafe Orchestra to anyone who may be browsing the RP comments section. Check out "The sound of someone who is going away and it doesn't matter."
I love it!
Yes! I don't know that I have heard this song since high school over a decade ago. So many good memories tied to random little radio tid-bits that scatter across our lives. Funny how all those old days come rushing in the door from the intro alone.
Excellent!!! brilliant , but hilarious looking performance!!!!!!!!!
I love it!

Bill, is this possible to do?
I know the lead singer (Royston) plays with Unisex Salon. (he isn't lead in that band though)
