Sunshine boy the endless joy rushes in our home
Sunshine boy the endless joy rushes in our home

In one and out one come my love
In one and out one now its safe and warm
And long before
You're all made up for the wars

Christ, oh Christ, all in their rows
Christ they're in their rows
Come and watch and lap it up
Christ they're in their rows

In one and out one come my love
In one and out one now it's safe and warm
And long before
You're all made up for the wars

In one and out one come my love
In one and out one now it's safe and warm

I guess that's a hard word to sing from behind a surgical mask.

I saw these guys back at the old Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ when this album came out (2002). Yes, they were wearing masks the whole time. I don't know how they made it through an entire concert like that.

Maxwell's was still there in 2002? Good for them.

I like the album-art, and am going to steal it by making a 4' x 4' copy then sell it at my Southampton Gallery for a shit-load of cash. Yup, like it.

Now we know you're not a real artist or gallerist. STFU.
I have always liked how Clinic reminds me of bits of James, Jane's Addiction, New Order, Pinback, and Placebo in all the right places and ways to make me feel like I've known them forever, but actually, they were another discovery thanks to my connection and devotion to RP...
Thanks, RP!
Somehow this song appeals to my inner child
must be the use of vintage instruments..  most enjoyable

One wonders if these guys have enjoyed a resurgence in popularity during the Covid era.
Thanks Bill!
Yay a shout out for Liverpool and this crackin band :-)
one of the few oddities I knew of before stumbling across RP. I have an MP3 of Harmony from an early release of this album, and I forget the other tune, from earlier.
I need to see if I can get those old drives out and transfer my old stuff.

Jose Feliciano on lead axe?

I wouldn't think a lead axe could work that well - it would be quite heavy and WAY too soft.  Iron would be a big improvement, and many steel alloys would be ideal.

Exactly.
I didn't think anyone else knew about these guys. Welcome to the club. LOVE this album. I think ya love 'em or leave 'em—probably not much in between.

Good luck finding people who buy artwork.

Plagiarize much?

More Clinic please!!

I third or fourth that!  A great album - this track is NOT one of the better ones....

There's a little bit of Elbow - Mirrorball in there if you listen closely...

Unmistakably
I thought Kula Shaker had a new album out for a minute...
I'd like to hear some more Clinic, please.
More Clinic please!!

A very cool album! While this track is good - there are much better on the album.  Something about this first album that is unusual, interesting, compelling, and yet familiar...?!

I was just thinking that.  I was trying to see which came first but no release date is showing and I'm too lazy to google it.

Wow, that's one heavy theme.
A great art cover (10) but the song sucks (2).
Gee, at first I thought this was an Elbow song I didn't know.

agreed, I heard Jane too

He pronounces "wars" very strangely.  You'd think he would have practiced it more if he was going to put the word in a song title.

Wish I had thought to say that. Made me laugh out loud. Thanks for that!

Jose Feliciano on lead axe?

nice. very, very nice.

This is the musical equivalent of those silica packs that come in shoe boxes.
By sounding crappy it prevents the other music from getting stale, but you really would rather not consume it on its own? Also: I don't think this sounds much like Sigur Ros at all...
haven't heard Clinic in ages.... THANKS RP!!!

A beguiling song....kind of a garage, psychedelic sound...reminds me a bit of Mitch Easter...very nice flute bit

The track marks on my arm are starting to itch......
Not bad. Sounds like a cross between Baby Bird and maybe Spritualized. Hey Bill, how about playing some Baby Bird and/or Spirutalized?
Music--8 Lyrics-7 Vocals-Speech Language Pathologist needed
why don\'t you play something from the piper at the gates of dawn...the scarecrow or chapter 24 ??
A cross between Al Stewart and Suzanne Vega
Are you saying that it reminds you of Syd Barrett? And, HEY, how about some more SYD on rp?

Sound like a Sunny Day Real Estate song.
If you don\'t consider the lyrics it\'s a good song to listen to on a Sunday morning ;)
What\'s up with people saying all Clinic songs sound alike? Because the singer has a distinctive voice? \'Harmony\' and \'Come into our room\' grew out of the same song and have a similar sound. But they work in the context of the album, which displays no lack of imagination.
at earlier comments. I like how it began. Not sure about the vocals. I\'d prefer it as an instrumental. shrug
