This takes me back to the days of watching Night Flight on the USA network, which is where I first encountered this song. Given the number and variety of musicians I was exposed to by that series, it was a precursor to internet radio. Futuristic bow-wow, indeed.

I recommended this song a couple of years ago and got the "not likely" response. I guess things change. This song is credited by some for being a major early influence for rap music.

Love it or hate it, this song certainly brought a lot of RP listeners out to post a comment. I don't think I've seen so many posts after a songs first play. Personally, I love it!

I actually talked to the guy who wrote/sang this (several times on the phone) in GC's band...Muddy Cooper. He was a good friend of a former boyfriend's! Nice guy, too! He also was the voice of Sly Foxx "Let's Go All the Way."
