This entire album is awesome!
Kora music is sublime.
Love this
Ali Farka Touré is a boss, and I am hard at work
Kathy has only one word for this outstanding audio delight and that is sublime.
Wow, no posts for six years. Great tune and collaboration.

I rather like this
Ali Farka Toure - Bonde
Blind Boys Of Alabama - Nobody's Fault But Mine
The Pogues - Dirty Old Town
And again today, exactly the same! (this song is still so crapppy, next!!!)

I didn't hear anything about the Blond, what's up with dat?  Or Blondie either. Altho I heard on Music Row that Ry and Debbie Harry had a thang ....

not my fav off the album but still excellent, what makes me happy is I would expect it to get bashed by some listeners but the amount of listeners that loved his music is quite uplifting, what a great musician, thanks yall and to Bill{#Notworthy}{#Notworthy}

Good stuff. Nice CD.
R.I.P. Master Ali.
Please End. I'm begging you.
If it weren't so long it'd get a higher rating than a 3. Just not for me at this moment.

I know you are, but what am I? I'm only a pompous ass to to those who are them selves the same :) Besides, I thought you were changing the channel.

Of course the blues has its ultimate origin in west African music from long ago, but this is also a case of the blues coming home to Africa. Ali Farka Toure was an enormous fan of American blues, and it shows.
Interesting pick work :)
most excellent

If heading in this direction, how about some Babba Maal.

Agreed. This is one fine CD.
Agreed that it's not AFT's finest, but I gave it a 9 b/c it was AFT nonetheless. He's incredible. More AFT, and more music from Mali in general!
I give this song high marks b/c it reminds me so much of a good friend from college. I probably haven't heard this song in a decade, at the very least the 90's. Good song, but who knows what the hell they are saying.
Too busy for the morning! I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Meditative, soothing, groovy and damn fine!!
summer days in the early 90's
A pretty good song, but not as good as AFT gets. I first ran across him on a blues CD, but I don't really love the blues so I didn't pay attention. But then I found him on a world comp -- and I love Afrobeat -- and couldn't get enough of his sound. I been recently listening to his album The Source. Thanks for the tip on your iTunes purchase, I'll check out the full CD.

I recently downloaded this album from iTunes as a result of being exposed to one song (not this one) on RP. It has been the great, new soundtrack for my life for the last few weeks. However, I would say that this song is one of the least memorable on it.
... Bonde on Bonde ...
