Don't you frown
Just go sweetly
Let your senses suck the world
And your fingers through my hair

Shake and Crawl
Through the willow
There's a baby in our eyes
And a second when we cry

And I know no love will be here again
Here again
So wash my lies
Fill the hollow

With a legend out inside
There's a system to divide
And I know no love will be here again
I know something's wrong

I've got words and I've got song
And your the call in an ice cold wind
So don't you cry
Just go sweetly

Take an ideal to the storm
Let your head and heart be one
And I know no love will be here again
I know no love will be here again

Here again

A roommate of many years ago turned me on to these guys in the very early 90s, along with the Blue Aeroplanes, the Stone Roses, and the Inspiral Carpets. This has been one of my consistently favourite albums since then, and a perennial choice for the CD player, at home or in the car (especially in the car these days, with a wife and small child at home). If I was to pick my fave 100 albums of all time, this would easily be on the list. Not a bad track in the bunch!

That roommate should be canonized!!
More House of Love please! I think I wore out their debut album on CD.   Great stuff.  Thanks RP.
Third album is Babe Rainbow...makes me wonder if they were inspired by the Duncan Browne song from this album: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...(album)
This is great <3 love
Their entire discography is on Spotify for your listening pleasure.

little shades of david byrne vocals and dreaminess...

ah well. since it's rare and/or old, i guess i'll have to hope for a few fixes of it here on RP

Hope you weren't hoping on too regular a fix!!
Nice tune!
Omigod this takes me back.  In a good way. A really good way.

This song is drippy. Or perhaps droopy. {#Sleep}
Reminds me of Coldplay with a touch of the Church.
I have really liked this song a lot since I heard it in the late 80's (looks like this one came out in 1990). I just finally picked up the CD again in the last 6 months.

A terrific song.

One of the best bands from the late 90's.

Their first album is outstanding as well!!!  {#Clap}

I used to watch 120 minutes on MTV and found the House that way.  Awesome!
I agree it's great to see them on RP. I had the cd with this song on it, the one with the picture of a large butterfly on the cover, terrific cd!
...i like this...
they are great, nobody really knows them, my upload so I SAY "Bueno"

It's nice to see some House of Love added, especially after a couple of my own tries got sorried... :-)
