We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds
We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds

We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds
We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds

October came
Our case got stuck with the DA again
They pulled up the welcome mat
So many times that they hurt their back
As sure as clocks are bleeding time
We'll show up early just to wait in line

We won't be sleeping, we won't be sleeping
We won't be sleeping, we won't be sleeping

As August came
Our case is drawing to an end
They said guilty so many times
All I heard was just the buzzing lights
As sure as lead sinks we're the same
We're just more laundry that they need to hang

We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds
We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds
We won't be sleeping, we won't be sleeping
We won't be sleeping, we won't be sleeping
We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds

We won't be sleeping, we won't be sleeping
We won't be sleeping, we won't be sleeping
We won't be sleeping in our autumn beds

Jynx.
There are parts of this song that I like, and parts that just don't work for me. Like a song with multiple personalities.

Is that a kazoo near the end?
Is that a Kazoo in the background?
My God, what the... revolting.
horrible.
An initial 3, sinking fast.
Awful....

I like these guys better all the time.  This is a fun song.  Weird band for Morrissey's guitarist  (Johnny Marr) to end up in though, innnit?  8

first time hearing this tune, pretty good.
as for johnny marr, i think he just helped them out on the last record (we were dead before the ship even sank) and tour, i don't believe he's a full time member.  and for the record, johnny wasn't morrissey's guitarist any more than morrissey was johnny's singer - they just happened to be the smiths  {#Cowboy}
agreed though, odd that he showed up in modest mouse.

Cripe.

Agreed. This is a pretty good EP/CD too.
I try, but I just don't like the lead singer's voice.
Doesn't sound like Slayer
