All the stars in the sky
Burn to black close your eyes
All the stars in the sky
Say goodbye say goodbye

We were here yesterday
Now we seem so far away
We were here yesterday
I heard you say

You don't know me
You know one side of a story
You don't know me

So open wide your wounded heart
Feel yourself be blown apart
Open wide your wounded heart
It's a funny place to start

But in the light of the sun
We are found we are undone
In the light of the sun
We are all one

And you don't know me
You know one side of a story
Oh you don't know me

All the seeds beneath the snow
Start to grow start to grow
All the seeds beneath the snow
Say hello say hello

All the seeds that lie below
Deep in the heart of what we know
All the seeds that lie below
The ones we sowed

And you don't know me
You know one side of a story
But if we could be free
One with all this glory

I doubt that a judge will accept that as an excuse.

Quite funny…but don’t agree on your opinion on the music 🙃
Musical flawless beauty
Got to see The Wailin' Jennys live at a small outdoor theater about 3 years ago.  They were amazing.  Such beautiful harmony.  Would definitely go to another concert if given the chance.
Mourning the loss of a family friend while listening to this. Comforts me and brings me to tears at the same time. A rare 9 from me.

Okay, unlike the guy that Proclivities quoted below, I don't like to pick a fight, especially over the Jenny's... but to say that their vocals are 'insufferable'?? I don't get you and you don't get me.

Good civil reply / good defense of a beautiful song!
I found out the hard way, sometimes it's best not to release your energies to trolls !
Can't reason with haters!
Wow, I'm shocked to see some quite negative comments here. I came here to say, "Thank you Bill, for introducing me to the Jennys many years ago. I have now seen them live a handful of times, and listened to their albums over and over. It's hard to imagine not having them in my life."

I gave it a 3 last time, which sounds about right. The vocals are insufferable.

I gave it a 3 last time, which sounds about right. The vocals are insufferable.

They be good. I no like. They sound too nice to the point of treacle and this song lacks any edge at all , I'm thinking of getting a brother and starting a fight. Just to blame it on the song.

Wow, that voice, like the sirens' call.  I think I made fun of them somewhere else.  I am buying this CD.  Now. Bye.

I love it when my rating can still affect the overall rating (BTW, I'm NOT the one who just gave this a 3)!

Solid 7, and possibly a solid 8 next time I hear this song. :)

Yup, agreed.

I just had a huge, explosive argument with my brother - he stomped out in a rage, I swigged a shot of vodka, and then this song came on... I don't feel so confrontational now. Maybe it's the vodka, but more likely, it's the Jennys. If I can just take a few deep breaths and let go of the anger, maybe bro and I can talk again.

Any update after the vodka, Jennys and 4 months? Good news, I hope?

They play way too much of this band.

Not possible IMHO.

They play way too much of this band.
To follow up on my previous comment - Bro and I talked, and we're okay. And the Jennys STILL capture my breath and form it into a sigh from a snarl.  I love their music. {#Meditate}

My feelings exactly!  Very pretty song.  But this is the first time I've heard it.  Probably it will grow on me.

Voices of Angels

AMEN!!!!!   I could listen to these girls every day all day long.    After seeing them in concert gotta say they also are very funny ladies as well

Voices of Angels.  Probably the best song on the CD, although there are many.
