Roll on darling
Roll on slow
I'll take you with me
Wherever I go
I got nowhere
That I've gotta be
Take you walking
Will you walk with me?
I got nowhere
I gotta go
Roll on slow
It was a sad old morning
I was feeling down
It was a sad old morning
Cause you weren't around
I'll take you walking
In to Sunday dawning
Roll on slow
Roll on
Well I'm writing
I wish I wasn't on my own
Song we wrote
Blasting out on the east street radio
Well I'm coming to you
I'll be there before too long
We can roll on
Slow
Roll on slow
I'll take you with me
Wherever I go
I got nowhere
That I've gotta be
Take you walking
Will you walk with me?
I got nowhere
I gotta go
Roll on slow
It was a sad old morning
I was feeling down
It was a sad old morning
Cause you weren't around

In to Sunday dawning
Roll on slow
Roll on
Well I'm writing

Song we wrote
Blasting out on the east street radio
Well I'm coming to you
I'll be there before too long
We can roll on

Damn, I like this!
Brilliantly played GH! Thanks William for playing so much of mr Hansard’s music!
Great horn section! Glen is Irish as is my own blood on my grandfather's side but tune has authentic Memphis vibe. I lived there for a while, heard the real thing .
Props to whoever did the charts.

Feels like Glen really peaked in Once, but just can't seem to capture the muse since then...

That guitar may have been played a time or two...

As a former trumpet player, and a Chicago boy originally, I've heard better, but what bluesy groove isn't accented well by that punch of brass. Yeah!

Sorry this seems overproduced to me. I like Hansard's more folky side.
Just bumped this from 7 --> 8.
Those HORNS! My goodness.
Most awesome sound! Really love the Wiki pic... how he has no pick guard and he wore a hole through the veneer. Just like Willie...humm...speaking of?
Fella looks like Bill from Left 4 Dead.
Quite a foot-tapper this, one.

Sorry, too busy bopping along to this soulful gem to bother with negative comments.
Hansard stands alone as one of the few artists where I just don't get the appeal at all. On paper, I should like something that he has done, but I just don't. I can't even manage to like the cover art. Music is interesting this way.

He's one cool dude. Very Irish.
Glen Hansard has made something of a habit of going out on Grafton Street in Dublin to do some busking to holiday shoppers on Christmas Eve. One year he was out there with Bono, another with Sinead O'Connor.

Gracias, sunybuny.
Has a CCR or John Fogerty feel to it. I can so hear JF voice singing this tune. For some reason during the instrumental parts...I'm hearing "Down by the bayou".

Don't know this guy, but I like the guitar/horns riff.

Am seeing Glen Hansard in concert on 7/27 and looking forward to hearing these new songs live.

Awful.
I'd check out some more samples of this. I kinda dig the gritty bluesy feel.
