Many folks who know E.J. - only know the 'hits' so, I assume this is what the masses could relate to and what was included in his biopic
All the gems, such as this, are for the rest of us
We watched Rocket Man for the first time the other night (my first time my partners third or fourth). Why does his biography not include diamond tunes of his like these? I suppose that, as with all the best stories, its not sensational enough. Don't they stand out as the very best of a long and winding yellow brick road.

Nice one. A segue suggestion: “New York State of Mind” by Billy Joel.
This album plays in my shop at least once a month. Never gets old.

This is a sweet song: I enjoy a lot of Elton John's catalog, but many of songs have angsty elements. This one feels happy and relaxed, like slowly waking up Sunday morning, snuggled up to the one you love. Thanks Bill!
Elton in the early days, brilliant art. Not to forget Bernie's lyrics.

They couldn't possibly have included every great song. The narrative can only cover so much, and the music feeds the narrative. Sure it was mostly bigger hits, but they served the narrative well - I especially liked the 'Saturday Night's All Right' scene.
So yeah, this one's not sensational enough, like most of the album, plus Tumbleweed, Blue Moves, etc. But you have to edit somewhere.
As a huge fan I was prepared to hate the movie, but I really enjoyed it. His autobiography is a kick too.
