Long in tooth and soul
Longing for another win
Lurch into the fray
Weapon out and belly in

Warrior
Struggling
To remain
Consequential

Bellow aloud
Bold and proud
Of where I've been
But here I am

Beating chest and drums
Beating tired bones again
Age-old battle, mine
Weapon out and belly in

Tales told
Of battles won
Of things we've done
Caligula would grin

Beating tired bones
Tripping through, remember when
Once invincible
Now the armor's wearing thin
Heavy shield down

A warrior
Struggling
To remain
Relevant

A warrior
Struggling
To remain
Consequential

Cry aloud
Bold and proud
Of where I've been
But here I am
Where I am

Warrior
Struggling
To remain

Struggling
To remain
Consequential

Tears in my eyes, chasing Ponce de León's phantoms
So filled with hope, I can taste mythical fountains
False hope, perhaps, but the truth never got in my way
Before now, feel the sting, feeling time, bearing down

This is such a sonically and rhythmically challenging piece of music. To simply label this as "rock" is such an oversimplification. Tool is special.
Epic Masterpiece - Incredible song.
I remember seeing them live in 2001 fkn awesomeness! This song fkn rips!!! 🤟🏻
Monster of a song… truly epic !!! Saw Tool this year, even better live !!! 🤘
MY 31 y.o. introduce me to this  band a long time. Once I saw a videoclip and thouth that pehephs my son was too young wacht. Now Im think Im too old to do it
That rhythm 🥁 section, DANG?!
RP listener for 2 days. And then they play TOOL - one of my favourites. How cool‘s that?! Rock on, RP! Can‘t wait to discover tons of more awesome tunes I don‘t know, yet.
Baltimore, January 10, 2024 - I saw Tool live for the first time. They were a band I used to listen to occasionally in the '90s, but seeing them perform live has transformed me into a super fan. "Invincible" really hits close to home. Seeing this song being performed live and being able to absorb its intensity and the lyrics was really an out-of-this-world experience.
Discovered Tool through RP. Never thought I would hear good heavy metal from a band formed in 1990. Very impressed. Very sophisticated sound. A solid 8.

That is why we come here!   Thanx RP!
Let me just say, humbly, how well this song fits my life.
Finding My way. Truly enjoying these Fall years, while quickly heading to those coming Winter nights of my time on this beautifully contentious Earth.
      "...feeling time bearing down..."
🔥Since 1998 I've been one fierce defender & educator of everything Maynard and TooL

At the very least, fellow listeners, if you give these savants a real chance, they are lyrically & musically superior to most of the fluff out there.
IMO, even topping Rush's catalog.

Blasphemy for sure, lol.

Their perfected musicianship sequences and albums have many masterpieces,
If y'all decide to query, their catalog runs very deep.
Especially considering the other two bands that Maynard heads.

Love the journey, be well & spiral out🌀

The genre is "progressive" rock/metal !

They resemble King Crimson in many ways!

I like this tune a lot, especially the drums, especially paired with the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again", where the drumming has a similar constant 'sub-narrative' going on. But King Crimson had humour mixed in with the experimentation. This is serious sh*t (I mean in a good way).
yeah!
Wow this goes on for a bit. Or as fredriley likes to quote Joe Strummer, "Fuckin' long innit?"

The monotonous bass line ain't helping right now...
This has to be one of the best songs they have ever released.
I feel like I'm being taken into another dimension, truly awesome.

So love Maynard's voice ❤️

I like Tool overall but, having only really gotten "into" them after AEnima, having heard many of the later releases, I can't help but to notice how similar a LOT of their songs sound, instrumentality. They really ought to try some different beats! They def. DO rock, no doubt!!

Try listening to their debut album "Undertow" (and the preceding EP "Opiate"). Different sounding: shorter songs and more visceral than later releases, but just as excellent. Raw and intense, you can really hear Maynard James Keenan roar in those records.
Lead drums! Amazing tune

I remember the shock on my friend's face when I told him I didn't know who Tool was. Luckily he got me fixed up. These guys are the masters of what the fuck ever genre this is. Long live Tool.

+1 to 9 on this great example of what-the-fuck-ever rock mix staple; Long Live RP and Tool!!
one of my fav bands

GREAT TUNE!!!! I started listening to "progressive rock" in the late 60s, with bands such as The Nice, King Crimson, Yes, ELP, Genesis, & Gentle Giant. Tool is an excellent band that follows in that genre!

Rush and Dream Theater too :)
Please Bill & Rebecca, play 7empest by Tool ! The drums are insane ! Thanks !! :)
I never cared for Tool too much. This is outstanding. Cranking drums in the garage. 9

I never really took notice of this band. Grew up with Clapton, Zeppelin, Hendix etc. I'm really impressed with the song Invincible.

I guess this must not get play on the main mix, given the lack of comments, so I'm glad I switched to the rock mix!

Same here! ..Main Mix was putting me to sleep this morning!

Saw them perform this on what would be their last concert of 2020 in Portland, OR on 3/11.  Superb show, never thought it be until last week for my next live show, wow.
This is the reason I love radioparadise, which unites people from all spectrum by playing good music. There is something for everyone, just enjoy it!
