Hey, my little evening star
How bright you are
Anywhere you go
You're not alone

Rocks and bugs and angel wings
Every little shiny thing
Anywhere you go
You're not alone

You're the north star and the compass
Always finding something wondrous
Anywhere you go
You're not alone

Wish that I could keep you from
Sorrow and harm
None of us is here for long
But you're not alone

In the cradle of the circle
All the ones that came before ya
Their strength is yours now
You're not alone

Sparrows in the morning
Crows at dusk
Singing with your mam
(Singing with your mammy)
We have love

We have love
We have love
We have love
We have love
You're not alone

De l'Afrique à l'Acadie
De l'Europe aux Amériques
La musique nous réunis
Une Famille

La musique nous réunis
De la Louisiane à Sans Souci
Tigallum Tigalli on arrive
Une Famille

Hey, my little evening star
How bright you are
We have love
You're not alone

We have love
We have love
We have love
We have love
You're not alone

You're not alone
You're not alone
You're not alone

WHOA!  Powerful love!
A beautiful song, all around.
I hope it'll step out of the 6's and firmly into the high 7's.  I think it deserves to be an 8+.
I have to give this a 10 based on what she says.  As a aging baby boomer living alone the lyrics are especially poignant.  But I am not alone, I have a circle of friends some of whom are now alone but we are in contact.  My children, everyone of them special, living far away but still close.

But this is dedicated to Richard who is especially challenged although he too has very special family who care.

None of us are alone, reach out and help someone and you will never be alone.

Special thanks for Bill and his creative efforts in this truly amazing site.

Ms. Brandi knows her shit.
I saw Allison & her band last Sunday in Grass Valley. Excellent concert. Great entertainer with a positive message.

8 -> 9. What was I thinking at first?

Didn't knew her, i really like !
Beautiful.  Thanks again, RP.
Heard this about 5 times this week. Not a bad thing.  Another introduction that I’ll be thanking RP for. Now a nice segue into some Kate and Anna McGarrigle (Matapedia, or La Complainte Ste Catherine) would be in order.
wow
What a wonderful song, in a wonderful language!

I'd never heard of Allison Russell a year ago but this is the third track I've heard on Radio Paradise that has blown me away!
Liking everything I've heard from Allison Russell, only on RP of course.
She opened for Iron and Wine and Andrew Bird at the Greek in Berkeley a little while back. She was not on the bill but I knew who she was thanks to RP. She was great with her all female band. The stranger next to me got to hear all about RP. I bet she is an RP fan by now.
Nice violin work on this tune. Bluesy offering from up north. Allison has great a voice and lovely expressive singing style. Opens with a 7 from Napoli on the Gulf
New Tune to RP.....sweet.
