Hope, what a brutal thing
Oh the way it stings
Coming down like rain upon your desert sands
Hope comes riding in
Makes you think again
Just when you thought you'd folded up that losing hand
She breaks into a heart that's broken
Blowing all the doors wide open
I'll keep hoping til the day I die
Hope what a brittle thing
Oh, the way she sings
Coming down to light upon your prison wall
Hope first you start to cry
Then you wonder why
You got so lucky ever to be born at all
She breaks into a heart that's broken
Blowing all the doors wide open
I'll keep hoping til the day I die
Some may say it's better not to dream
Sometimes I can see just what they mean
On a very lonely day
I'll put my foolish dreams away
Face the world exactly as it seems
But then she breaks into a heart that's broken
Blowing all the doors wide open
I'll keep hoping til the day I die
Til the die I die
Oh the way it stings
Coming down like rain upon your desert sands
Hope comes riding in
Makes you think again
Just when you thought you'd folded up that losing hand
She breaks into a heart that's broken
Blowing all the doors wide open
I'll keep hoping til the day I die
Hope what a brittle thing
Oh, the way she sings
Coming down to light upon your prison wall

It is really lovely! And, she's got a beautiful voice! Only thing is, it's kind of a "sleepy" song!
What a lovely sound!
Smoke gets in your eyes, but here comes a banana.

That's quite the system...tell us, given the option to provide a wider range of ratings, why choose to shorten the scale to 3 data points? I mean "good, better, best" has been the standard at Canadian Tire for all of eternity (and every Canadian knows of what I speak), but why not just use the 1 or 10; like it, don't like it binary? For me, there's some real dogs on RP that deserve a sucko-barfo all day...you have none of those??
(ffs, how does asking a question deserve a down thumb? Seriously. I mean, I really don't get how people can just be so clouded by the interweb that anything except vapid agreement is acceptable. I really am curious why he uses an 8+ system? Aren't you?)
Now, I can't speak for bimmerfan739 and why they have an 8+ system.
However, I use a 7+ system and my logic is that I only need a record of songs that I like - you're damn right that there are many 1-6 songs out there, but I ain't gonna be looking them up for listening ideas and they don't form part of my RP favourites channel.
Also - there's usually a bunch of folk who like the songs, so why poop on their enjoyment? That gets me and the world no further forward!
I'm aware that it skews the rating system in a minute way - it'll live!
And yeah - the mystery thumbs-downers... What's that all about??

Reminds me of Melody Gardot.
WONDERFUL to hear Carsie on RP! Love, love, love her voice. Could listen all day.

I don't rate below an 8 so that's what I gave this. Nice!

Delighted to finally hear Carsie played here. I am a patron and think she is such a delightful musician, so I am really happy that she has found her way to my favourite music station.

This is the second track I've heard from this album. I like them both!
