I've been waiting
Can you tell me
When we're leaving
Midnight train
Now is leaving
Engine screaming
ah, ah
ah, ah
ah, ah
ah, ah
Where I'm going I don't know
But you tell me I must go
When we're leaving I don't know
But you tell me now
I see it's coming
And bringing something
This train of lovin'
I see it's comin'
I feel it's runnin'
This train of lovin'
From ages past
Station Man
I've been waiting
Can you tell me
When we're leaving
Yes sir I like it . The stuff before they went off. In the late 70s I did nightshifts alone in a boilerhouse with only an old valve radio for company which had only 1 non classical music station and I remember desperate nights of being subjected to the likes of Leo sayer billy Joel the "new"Fleetwood Mac etc etc. Then a couple of years later a miracle. A DJ that scored lots of great new stuff from the UK and played it between midnight and 5am. The likes of The Fall. Magazine. Gang of four. Killing joke. Mekons. Psychedelic furs and others. Saved my bloody life. A few years ago I managed to contact that maverick and very popular DJ Barry Jenkin. He had been out of the industry a long time but I was stunned when he told me he didn't listen to music at all anymore !!! I told him about RP and to listen in. He told me someone else had suggested it too. So let's hope RP got him listening again eh.
"Nightshifts in a boilerhouse'? Funny that Danny Kirwan, the composer, singer and guitar player in this song, played in a band called Boilerhouse before joining Peter Green et al.
Love this iteration of Mac.
Best album of them for me.
Just doesn't get old.
Mystery to Me is also killah. Got that brand new, with two of three other new albums in college in a barter arrangement. Dexter Dingo, if you're out there, I still appreciate those albums!
It is great to here some old Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green.

This is called continuos education. :-)
Or even continuous...

I struggle to understand how someone can be a fan of RP's eclectic mix and at the same time rate this as a 1 or a 2.
not me its a classic 8 or 9

hahaha pot has that effect
shuffle BLUES love it :-)

Green had left the band. The two guitarists are Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan.

Strange you would mention working in a boilerhouse. Danny Kirwan, the fellow who wrote, sang on and played most of the guitar on this incredible tune, played in a band called Boilerhouse before Peter Green took notice and invited him to join Fleetwood Mac.

In a good way.

Best album of them for me.

Ahem. As of this date, I do believe Jeremy is still with us.

Has a Wishbone Ash feel to it too

I knew a lot of the old FM stuff was good, but now i know i need to go back and dig a little deeper!

Does anyone know if this is available for (legal) download anywhere? i couldn't find it on napster, rhapsody, itunes, or even spotify. Lost my vinyl; now the only place I'll ever hear it is Radio Paradise!
Try the Amazon CD button on the song page. It´s only seven and a half bucks, and Radio Paradise gets a bit of that as a kickback for putting up the link. I picked up the CD like that. It's great music, especially for the road.

I totally agree
Syncopated!

Mick FLEETWOOD & John M(A)Cvie, a great rhythm section, indeed!
Could it be because Mick Fleetwood is the drummer?

I think Peter Green was gone by the time this album was being recorded.
