I don't care if you never come home
I don't mind if you just keep on rowin' away on a distant sea
'Cause I don't love you and you don't love me

You cause a commotion when you come to town
You give 'em a smile and they melt
And your lovers and friends is all good and fine
But I don't like yours and you don't like mine

La la la la la la
La la la la la la la la

I don't care what you do at night
Oh, I don't care how you get you delites
We'll leave it alone and just let it be
I don't love you and you don't love me

I got a problem, can you relate
I got a woman callin' love hate
We made a vow we'd always be friends
How could we know that promises end

La la la la la la
La la la la la la la la

I tried to love for years upon years
You refuse to take me for real
It's time you saw what I want you to see
I'd still love you if you'd just love me

I got a problem, can you relate
I got a woman callin' love hate
We made a vow we'd always be friends
How could we know that promises end

La la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
Wohoo, la la la la la la la

I would've thought that if there was going to be Clapton after the Waters song, it would be "She's Waiting"  {#Wink}
What a fraking segue from Roger Waters' "Wait For Her"! Keep it spinning BillG!

I forgot how much I love this song.  Thanks for playing it and reminding me, Bill.

Had this on cassete when I went camping by myself for the first time. Solo mission to Big Sur.

Excellent music for a truly excellent camping site.....by the beach?
This may have been a bit overplayed on 1970s FM radio? However, suddenly very nice to hear at this moment in 2016.

Blah, blah, blah.  Bitter much?
First time hearing this.

Nice.
Forgot how good some of his stuff was. Typically overplayed, wish folks would go a little deeper in the catalog to change it up.
so it's official, the man has no feel for country either

Ya'll can hate me but I really don't like Eric Clapton. Gonna PSD for a bit. Enjoy. See you on the other side.
I have missed this - been so long!
What memories it evoked.  I was right THERE again.
Wow, it's been eons since I've heard this.  I've tired of Clapton over the years (too much overplay, everywhere, including on my own tape decks back in the day).  But this is enjoyable to hear again.
For all the crap that is thrown Eric Clapton's way, for any number of imagined and I suspect projected sins, he has generated quite a body of good songs and performances. In general, I think we should look to the positive output from artists and not focus so much on their missed efforts. I guess this means I like this piece although it has possibly been decades since I heard it last.
Great memories.
