None, I don't like crowds of people or live music, I much prefer studio.  I have been to maybe 2 concerts in my entire life and that was when I was young and stupid.{#Lol}

Oddly, ABBA only toured the US once.  Radio City Music Hall ~1978; a motley collection of people in the audience: kids, older folks, punk rockers... It was a good show.

Looking at this lineup from the US Festival, it appears I've seen Jackson Browne. I did not know that.

Rather than work, I checked out my 7s list for stuff not on my 8-9-10s list

Bob Mould
Sonic Youth
Jimmy Buffett
Fountains of Wayne
Kaki King
Adrian Belew
Timbuk3
The Bangles
Poi Dog Pondering
Gang of Four
Santana (shocked that I have a Santana song rated this highly)
Siouxsie & the Banshees
The Alarm

A long list of 7s (998) for such a short list of "seen 'em" but several of my 7s are also on my 8-9-10 list so hey.

Now let's look at the 1-2-3! Whee!

1: The Dead & Santana. Yes, I lived in SF and yes I could show you where the Dead lived in the Haight. I tried, I really did. I'd love to hang out with Carlos, I think he's a pretty cool guy.

2: Billy Squier
(Old) Fleetwood Mac
Clapton (not a fan but this was a bad song of his)

3:
Brave Combo. This surprised me, they're fun. The song must be crap.
Ben Harper

and that's it. Nothing unique in the Low ratings, they're either bands I wouldn't pay to see or that just happen to have a lousy song in the playlist... so the good news is I haven't paid to see many bands that are terrible...

I am paying the price of attending many, many concerts by having a troubling case of tinnitus. Too many times up close to Keith Richards' main speaker.  Oh, and and poor judgment using headphones years ago.

7's
Mathew Sweet
AC / DC  (must say that their songs I would rate much higher would never get played here)

unrated
Alice Cooper

Edit: and whoever played at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show at the old Cleveland Muni stadium.  Effer lasted 8 hours (and with Floyd, Tull, ABB and a few others not withstanding at separate concerts), prolly the best concert that I ever went to.  Just remembered Dylan was there so add him to the list.  It was the last show, game or anything played at the old stadium.  It was torn down shortly after the show IRRC.

The Kinks and the ABB were the show stoppers.

Okay, this was kind of a chore, but I went thru my top rated and wrote down all the 10-9-8-rated songs by artists that I've seen. It was interesting, tho, in that going thru the 10s, the density of acts I'd seen was much higher than 9s. By the time I got down to the 8s (I've rated many more songs an 8 than 10, probably 3 to 1 or more edit: 649 to 83 (8s to 10s) but look at how similar the length of my 10s (seen) to 8s (seen) is, too lazy to go look at the graph right now), the number of acts I'd really like to see vs acts I've actually seen was also probably 3 to 1, and that's not counting the acts I'd also seen but rated a 10 so they're on this list, y'know? No. Anyway, it was interesting for me that for a band to move from 8 to 10, it helps if I've been to a show and had a good time.

10s I've seen:
====================
James McMurtry
U2
Billy Bragg & Wilco (together... never seen BB solo for some reason)
Wilco
Talking Heads
X
Dave Edmunds
Police
Los Lobos
Blasters
Pretenders
Jesus & Mary Chain
Nick Lowe
Pogues (Actually Shane MacGowan and the Popes but it was the Pogues, really)
Graham Parker
Replacements
Beat Farmers
Elvis Costello
Jonathan Richman
Ramones
Lucinda Williams
Steve Earle

9s
=============
Tom Petty
Dream Syndicate (never hear them here anymore but they're on my 9s list so they must have been played)
Neil Young
Fleetwood Mac
Cheap Trick
Squeeze
B-52's
REM
Adrian Belew (& the Bears)
Camper Van Beethoven
Cars
Lyle Lovett
Hoodoo Gurus
Kinks
Sinead O'Connor
Big Country

8s
==================
Chris Isaak
Blondie
Avett Brothers
Bob Dylan (interesting I haven't rated anything of his a 10. I certainly would but I'm surprised by how much stuff I just never rate, especially classic stuff that doesn't need my validation)
Violent Femmes (would have several 10s but RP doesn't play much of their stuff)
Patty Griffin
Rave-Ups
Pixies
Yo La Tengo
Smiths
Cure
Shriekback
Son Volt
54-40
John Hiatt
Robert Earl Keen
Colin Hay
Peter Case
Love & Rockets
Dave Alvin
They Might Be Giants
Commander Cody (I was way underage, but technically I was there altho I couldn't tell you anything about the show. I did see Bill Kirchen a couple of years ago so that counts)
Leo Kottke
10,000 Maniacs
Social Distortion
Smashing Pumpkins
Gourds
BoDeans

=========================

Notes: These are in the same order that they appear in my lists, that is, in the order that I rated them. Note Smashing Pumpkins and The Gourds one after the other Saw them about 20 years apart.  Smiths/Cure/Shriekback sounds like an 80s Flashback Reunion tour but no, they were all separate shows, altho Smiths and the Cure were both in Santa Barbara. Shriekback were in a cave-like club somewhere in SoCal, opening for Hoodoo Gurus. Or vice versa, can't remember. Great show. also saw Shriekback in NYC on Halloween.

Many many other bands not in my top 8-9-10 would be on here. Grateful Dead probably doesn't score more than a 4 with me but of course I checked them out.
