Hi RP community. I have a technical issue and was wondering if anyone can help. 
There is no metadata for the Mellow mix, Rock Mix or World. I can only get the song & band details etc on the Main mix via my Cambridge Audio EVO 150 DeLorean edition. Not sure if it is a fault of the player (unlikely) or Radio Paradises broadcast. Anyone any ideas and are they having the same issue with their Streamers? Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated. 

Hello Bill with crew and have a nice Chrismis evening.

My new Hegel h600 does stop playing everytime 'after someone does speak' between some tracks.
The Rp app is the only app with this problem.
After it does stop playing I have to reload  the app from zero and start it again.

i also do have a Chromecast audio connected to my vintage Rotel amp and with that extern chromecast audio there is never a problem .

So your app does have a problem with the newest chromecast Bild in .

i did try other music streaming apps with this Hegel and they do work 100%.

Wil you please have a look after this issue?

I'm using Cocktail Audio N25 streamerDAC to listen Radio Paradise and the default quality is AAC, do you know if it's possible to set up FLAC quality on my N25?

But the forum thread also directs people to a github project that was deleted.    So not sure what the current status of the project is. 

The FLAC-Streams in the Volumio-Plugin don't work anymore.

My understanding is Vorbis comments aren't available  with ogg/flac.   
When I looked through the icecast sourcecode,  it had disabled icy-metadata  for all ogg ( more of an oversight,  since it only supported ogg/vorbis originally ) .   And disabled vorbis comments for ogg/flac.

They don't disable  icy-metadata for ogg,   but  didn't  include  support  for the  StreamUrl  tag  which is what  the shoutcast/icecast  streams use to update the coverart url.
( it is sort of a race to see if  icecast  enables  icy-metadata for ogg,  or  rocket streamer  adds  the streamurl tag )

Will look into adding extra headers, for channel logos and such.

 A cpl. things I want to point out though:  1)  C45tro's thread below mentioned embedded cover-art images - I'm not seeing any of these embedded either in ICY metadata or in Vorbis comments OR being fetched by VLC either (however that's not an issue for me as Fauxdacious can and does fetch album-covers for songs based on the artist & title), but was curious how / if this is being embedded (which would make cover-art handling more efficient for me)?  2)  Related to this, from what I can tell, for Ogg/Flac streams, such as these, it appears that there are no Vorbis comments included, and that these have to be at the beginning of the Flac file/stream, so can't change per song?  However, if this is indeed the case, I would like to recommend using them to include the station's name for the TITLE field, the genre, a brief description of the station (ALBUM or ALBUMARTIST field), and perhaps an icon/image for the station ("COVERART" field), as this would be handy.  Reason being is that Fauxdacious uses these values as defaults (when station is not playing, or song-specific tag fields are missing, ie. no album-cover) for other streaming stations / sites it supports (see my StreamFinder module on CPAN (https://metacpan.org/pod/StreamFinder)
for details on how this works, though that module is not applicable here to radioparadise.com.

The other day, RP played a song I know well because I own the music and play it often.  I tried to see if I could tell if there was a difference in sound quality in the 320k AAC stream and the FLAC or 320k MP3 files I rip from the CD.   Within seconds I gave up because I knew I would have to stop everything I was doing, don headphones, carefully focus, etc., in order to discern a difference.

The purpose of FLAC is to provide a bit-perfect copy of the original music in compressed form, together with metadata. The FLAC stream broadcast by PR is not a bit-perfect copy of the original CD track, is it? So if the data is processed at all, AAC seems more than adequate to me. Neither version is going to be exactly like the original.

I'll  try to get some alternate  links posted over the next few days to test.

Unless I put on headphones I cannot tell the difference with the AAC-320 stream.   And even then I have to work hard at it.  

Yes, they work in the browser but for some reason minimserver on my QNAP do not like them anymore. I responded to your post on the Naim forum. Thank you for the suggestion, the icy8 streams work for me now. Very happy again. :D
