Although I was laughing uncontrollably once I caught on to what they were doing here.
Domenic West is a brilliant actor. He was great in the all-too-brief series "The Hour" with Ben Whishaw and Romola Garai. He clearly had a great deal of fun in the British dramedy "Brassic" as a general practitioner/therapist who's narcissistic, addicted to sex and a total pothead.
I have the same gripe about bumper stickers and t-shirts. I'm not offended by foul language - but I think it's wrong to have to explain to your 6 year old what a giant banner saying (your choice) FUCK TRUMP/BIDEN is doing on the bumper of the car in front of you.
A lifelong friend and I were reminiscing the other day about something we'd never said to each other: when riding in his parents' station wagon back seat and the new Chicago tune came on and the big line was "Lovin' you girl is so damn easy" and both of us, without making a big deal of it, cringed - knowing his G-rated parents in the front seat were mortified. It was really interesting how I said something vague like "remember that time in your car" and he finished the story and had felt the same. Heh. That's why we're friends more than 50 years on.
That and my being astonished to hear, on the radio, that the bitch is back. You could tell times were changing...
The president is saying it now at press conferences. I guess we need to stop clutching our pearls. Fuck.
