CarPlay is back in V 9.0.3. - Please note we will be adding a "Download" option in the channel selector specifically for CarPlay users so it's easy to access your downloads. Lots of updates coming your way later this week V 9.0.4.
I just checked V. 9.0.4 on CarPlay but it seems the Download option did not make the cut for this version. Is it still in the works?

Thanks for that. I generally run RP from cache while using CarPlay.
Thank you for the CarPlay reintegration! I was seriously bummed by the previous loss of functionality. When my scattered brain failed to remember starting the app before departing I found myself having chose between being frustrated by the lack of RP during my drive, or being unsafe fumbling with my phone in traffic. Much appreciated!
Edit: The app seems to work just fine in my Ford, cool little station icons and all.

I have 2 vehicles. Checked 9.0.3 update and RP does not show on Carplay app list. This is bad.
This may help. Please disregard the aggressive landing page on this video. We do not mean to say you're using things wrong! It's helpful, we promise....

No big deal but in case someone just wants CarPlay back, you can get it in the app store currently without joining and loading through the testflight app. I'll stay on testflight in case a new beta comes out, I can test it.

Thanks so much for the new app! I finally got a chance to take it for a test drive and the Apple Car Play worked perfectly! Thanks so much for all the hard work!
Is there anyway to access the cache directly from Car Play? It seems the only way at the moment is the access the cache from the app on the phone. Any ideas?
I also would like to access cache from CarPlay.
I noticed on the iPhone that accessing the downloads I could choose start from beginning or where left off. I thought the old app didnât let you start from beginning to avoid music licensing issues.

Well. It's back. I had to reboot the iPhone to get it to show in Carplay. Then in the car, it originally booted without album art. After 10 minutes or so that sorted itself. Not sure if it beats the alternative I had to use in the last 2 weeks?

This is great news Alana. The other issues will be addressed as well? Namely:
1. Starting up the cached playlist proceeds from where you left off rather than it resetting to the beginning of the same cache? At the moment if I donât want to do a groundhog day music loop, my only choice is to renew the cache before each start of play.
2. Shortcut to the cached playlist - as a button on front screen (as before) rather than behind the tiny download icon and then scrolling to the right download and then hitting play button partially obscured by the renew button? For users launching while/before driving these new steps are cumbersome and even hard to navigate.
I have to admit that since the app changes, I have gone from 100% RP listening to maybe 10%. most of that on the home iPad that did not get the app update. I really miss the awesome music selection but the issues make it just too hard.
I know you have all been getting a lot of stick about the changes but we do appreciate that you are listening and willing to take the feedback onboard. I look forward to the fixes!
Spot on! One other thing, at least for me the app doesn't "persist" like the old one. In other words, while the app still plays, it's going back to the lock screen after whatever time you have normally set on the phone. Not good.
I couldn't find the app in Settings-CarPlay-My Car at first, but it appeared after I started the app on the phone, in the included apps list there. Glad to have CarPlay back!

I had a moment of panic when only one of my two CarPlay vehicles showed RP in its App list (from Settings->CarPlay on the iPhone). But both vehicles worked like a charm when the phone was connected.
