Twilight Zone - The Original Series
This TV show started before I was born but still, I wish I had watched it later in my teen years. Never heard of it until many years later. At that point I knew I had to see this. And not long ago I see the boxset of the complete series (5 Seasons) at Walmart for only $20. Had to get it.
First impressions: ok, it's old and it shows. Some of the episodes that might have been impressive in the 60s-70s are....meh.
So far: But some episodes are so good. Walking Distance. The Lonely. Third From The Sun. The Last Flight. People Are Alike All Over.
Nick Offerman as Jinx is alone worth the price of admission. Michelle Pfeiffer as the brittle, shallow mom and a guest appearance by Nicole Kidman as a professional wrestler are super.
After years of people telling us we MUST watch it, we're now in season 6 of Downton Abbey. Altogether excellent.
Many people had told me I MUST watch it. I looked at it, but period pieces about the British aristocracy have never interested me. I am enjoying "Daredevil Born Again" though.

We watched it back when it was rolling out & found it to be delightfully charming with a great cast & compelling story. The couple of movies that came out arenât Oscar worthy, but clearly aimed at being a satisfying tip of the hat to their loyal fans.
I just finished ep 3 and I keep wondering where this is going. Where's the conflict when Carol is effectively alone? Intriguing but something's got to give and soon.
Oh, we shredded through Pluribus in three or four days! Loved. It.

Murder Bot is quite fun.
Fallout rocks.
The Pigeon Tunnel is a fascinating interview/documentary with John Le Carre before he died. His best novel I think was his most autobiographical one, "A Perfect Spy." Le Carre grew up with his dad, an extraordinary con man who deserves his own biography or unreliable narrator novel.

Well after Severance you might want to watch Pluribus several times because it's just as WT-effy but apparently Season 2 is not coming any time soon. Which is good, I think. They got a good response from Season 1 so I assume they're mapping out several seasons before they go forward. It's a trip, but... no rush!

Yes, we finally did - dionysius didn't want to wait for the second season of Severance after we watched season one via DVD from the library. Slow Horses is in our queue.

I get Apple TV just to watch Severance. Then i cancel subscription until the next Season. Not that there's not enough other shows/movies that might interest me. But i have Netflix and that's enough distraction. There's just too much music to listen to.

Did you break down and get AppleTV? I remember talking about Slow Horses (Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott-Thomas) and you were against adding Apple just for that.

We finally have dug into Ted Lasso and absolutely love it - and then I discovered that Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent in TL, and now my spirit animal) is not only in Shrinking, but is a co-creator, writer and executive producer, so Shrinking is next on my list!
