it was too literal. :whoosh: I always want to fast forward past the static to the thrashing. ok, leaving until there's a Seth photo, fuzzy or no.

Just was looking at the line up.. Very cool!! It would have been worth it to me just to see Son Volt and Wilco in one weekend. :) And Jackson Hole is so gorgeous! I was there last summer.

I love to sing along (read, screech along) with Shame, but I don't inflict it upon others.

I uploaded Talk on Indolence already but you should try it again. I don't have everything at a high enough bitrate to upload.
They opened with Shame, then did Die Die Die but didn't do Paranoia or Indolence.
Oh but Pretty Girl from Chile kicked so much ass the Black Crowes fans in the front row were still talking about it hours later.

Yeah for driving in the car you definitely need to put together a mix tape of all the Pretty Girl songs etc but they are so raw doing the weepy stuff live that you don't want to miss a note. I haven't seen anyone write songs with such personal lyrics and perform them so charmingly just-for-you since Jonathan Richman.
Thanks to OCDHG for making sure I was a fan a couple of years ago...

Okay I'm pretty happy with these so I had to go ahead and get them done tonight: I'll have to see if I have a decent one of Seth at all... he was on the other end of the stage from me.

He did mostly Beach Boys classics, plus his version of Good Vibrations... I don't remember hearing any Smile songs otherwise. I think 2 songs from That Lucky Old Sun were in there... those were the only ones where they (one of his sidemen did most of the chatting) announced the album. I have Smile but don't know it well enough to say "ah ha!" I don't think there were more than a couple that I didn't recognize as 60s-era Beach Boys tho.
I had read that he was going to be doing That Lucky Old Sun, straight thru including the spoken word stuff, and then leave the stage. That was supposedly the reason for this tour, but my god what a dog those two tracks were... need a lot more polish to take 'em out of the studio.
I genuinely enjoyed hearing Good Vibrations, Barbara Ann and a couple others at that volume. Mostly tho it was better suited to the side stage at the County Fair (one of a hundred oldies-rehash touring acts that have one surviving member of the original band...)
Well I was going to save the reviews for later. Oops.
Thanks Scott. I so wish he had left the drugs alone and had been able to utilize the enormous talent he was gifted with...Still quite a remarkable talent.
