(that, and I haven't been able to review anyone's stuff for months, and my last submission got crickets except for one hardy soul)
And I apologize for my failures to get my reviews out in a timely manner.
Lazies 3 discer threw me for a loop.
Almost done with his review and following others from there.

I confess I am one of those crickets, I'm at least two disks behind in reviews. Was hoping I'd have more time after the election but...nope.
I'll try to get caught up over the holidays but please don't schedule me until march at the earliest.

It will be our loss. Your contributions to the club have been AWESOME! If at any time you feel the urge to put something together feel free to jump in.

Hey your mix wasn't forgotten, took a bit to get to is all. I've got to admit my relationship with Alternative is wishy washy, some stuff I really dig some just doesn't hit home. With that in mind here are my impressions as I dug into your offerings.
- Oliver Malcolm - sounds like Jack White, I thought it might have been one of his aliases.
- A Tip From You to Me - sounds like Jack White...oh wait it is!
- Mystic Braves - Very 60's Garage Rock sounding
- Live Well - Hey great advice, especially nowadays.
- Ivy - Like the singer, looked her up on that internet thing and hey she's cute too!
- Coast to Coast - I think this tune would be a good one for an all girls band
- Built to Spill - I only know like 1 song by this band, good to hear something else. I need to pay more attention maybe.
- Quivers - Australian Jangle, who knew!
- Low - I find I gravitate to slow tempo Alt like this one. Favorite so far.
- Sailor Song - can't go wrong with an Anne Hathaway name drop
- Little Man Tate - I'm trying to think of other bands named after a movie. Clever!
- Thrasher - really good tune here, sounds a little rough like the master tape is damaged or something. Runner up for Favorite.
As is your usual you always bring new artists to the table from your bottomless well. I really like looking them up while listening along. I found I liked more of the tunes than not. My Alternative side just maybe saved after all. Thanks for the collection!
Somebody here put Matthew Sweet's Smog Moon on a mix but the disc is stuck in the player and I can't find who sent it by searching here. But when 100% fun came out, that track wasn't my favorite, really, but I remember one day latching onto it and just playing that one song on repeat until I knew the lyrics and they made me sad but the song is pretty and if no one's in hearing range I like to sing along. Probably played it 30 times in a row that day 30 years ago.
So on Saturday I drove out of FM range and then decided to see if there was a disc in the player and sure enough, something came on and it was good. Then later that day as I was driving down from the mountains, an old song I used to know came on. When it was over, I was "wasn't that Matthew Sweet?" and backed it up and listened again and said, "yeah, I think that's him." And by the time it got to the end again, I was deja-vu-ing about it and hit repeat repeat and started re-learning the words and it made me sad again but I know I've played it 30 times since Saturday afternoon.

there is sort of a "jangle angle" influence on some of these tracks

my likes + mcc considerations = current effort
some of these songs had very few spins/views (one only had 44 iirc)
Now all I need is to to get caught up on my likes and dislikes.
