The massive fire season continues ,although the weather has cooled down over the past few days, firefighters are bracing for more blisteringly hot weather in a few days along with dry lightening storms.
130 blazes still burn in the 2 worst states.
But, on a great note some cavalry have arrived to lend a hand . Very experienced fireys from the USA , N.Z and Canada are arriving to lend a hand.

These fires alone have already accounted for over  2/3rds of Australia's annual carbon emissions target .And with possibly the worst fire weather of the season is about to strike in the next 24 hours sadly this target will be over run.
But, and very positive big but is the Indian Ocean Dipole may be breaking up and there could be what looks like a game changing cyclonic  hurricane possibly forming off the continent's NW coast.
And that could bring across much cooler,moist air to the fire zones.
Here's praying.

I live on the wild-urban fringe in Australia. Actually that's a bit misleading because my town has extensive forest green-belts and old mine sites that reach nearly to the city centre. Bad-news: these fires are unlike any other events that I know of. Good-news: After the Black Saturday fires 10 years ago, a number of changes have been made and people are getting out much earlier or are better prepared if they stay to defend property. Fewer lives have been lost so far. But this is normally just the start of the fire season. Other hopeful news is that the weather pattern over the Indian Ocean is breaking up after several months delay and that could help some.

Oh, and our Prime Minister is a hopeless incompetent.

For months now hundreds of bush fires continue to burn, many out of control mostly on the drought ridden eastern seaboard of Australia.
The intensity and sheer size of these fires has stunned the nation, one fire alone larger than half of the UK. About 1,500 homes have already been lost , around 10 poor souls have perished.
Australia regularly has serious bush fires but what is very alarming now is that the fire season is only due to startup now.
