I don't know what the show's producers were thinking. He just doesn't have enough experience being onstage. In some of the clips I watched this morning, you could see his eyes darting back and forth as he read the teleprompter. Well, at least he was more entertaining than James Franco. I think it's been determined he was the worst (co)-host ever.

Me neither nor am I a big movie fan so that is a double reason not to watch. I actually love all of Seth's shows but don't think he is a good fit for host of Oscars is that what they still call it? (I haven't watched since the 70s{#Lol}).  However I do watch a little of the Independent movie awards sometimes on IFC just cause it is more interesting and crude which is right up my alley!{#Lol}

Seth MacFarlane was a total screw-up as oscar host, all his jokes were terrible and that whole broadcast was painful to watch. Never heard of the guy before, wish I'd never heard of him after.
