I hope that Phil Collins is retired.
I wish he had retired 25 years ago, but that's just my humble opinion

Or at least not his most recent album. If everyone stopped after a stumble, there'd be a lot of short careers and a lot of missed masterpieces. You probably would have had a better reaction from others if you'd just started with "I don't like Paul Simon's recent work" instead of "artists should retire after a certain age".

A-men.

How many wretchedly bad albums did Neil Young put out between masterpieces? Rhetorical question; I own all of them, I guess I could go count. Neil has rocked my world often enough that I'll gamble on something he produces, and I even find a few gems on those bad records.

Paul Simon is similar. A body of work that merits cutting him some slack.

I was thinking I should go listen to Trans again. Then again maybe not...

I remember hearing people jabber on about Graceland for a year at least before I listened to any of it, and then it was You can Call Me Al, which is cool, but not the "wow" songs... which took me another year, probably, to discover. All because of some notoriously iffy self-indulgent stuff that led up to it.

STFU? Really? Is that the best you have?

So, I express an opinion, you tell me to STFU, and I am the one pissing people off? Interesting...

When Manbird says "Make me" does he piss you off too?

I am not responsible for what pisses you off.
