It's an adjustment for sure. I'm finding that some of the add-ons that did make the switch are back to beta-like quality compared to their polished pre-WebExtensions versions. Firefox itself is super-fast (except on YouTube which is back to stuttering on 1080p60 for me like it used to), so it's all kind of a wash. I'm sure that in a few months when things have settled I'll really enjoy it.

How to switch from RAM-hungry Chrome to speedy Firefox Quantum in 2 minutes

Having used Chrome for ages, I’ve gotten used to the browser’s sluggish performance and gluttony for system memory, and I’ve a feeling I’m not alone.

With the launch of Firefox Quantum, we can finally break free from those shackles: the latest version of Mozilla’s browser uses an all-new CSS engine and memory management techniques to load pages faster and handle piles of tabs better than Google’s offering.

I’m making the switch today, and you can join me by following these simple steps to transition painlessly from Chrome to Firefox Quantum in under two minutes.

Like all the others said, no problem here also with FF on FB.

The only problem i had was with Ebay. Now and again the damn ads would hang and nothing else worked in FF while the ads spun their wheels. Very frustrating when you're in the middle of some work on FF. I finally found the Adblock Plus Extension and those pesky ads are gone. Vanished.

i'm with rando

i've been using firefox for a long long time

and when i have problems it is usually one of two things

update to the newer version or i'm using browser add-ons that are conflicting with other software or restricting content

do an update, then turn off all add-ons

you should be good

{#Hug}

ps if you're still having trouble just uninstall it run a tune up software like ccleaner and then reinstall

For work systems where productivity matters, stick with Win 7, it's a reasonably reliable os.  Leave Win 10 to the unpaid beta testers for another six months.

As for crashing in Win7, it's either hardware or software.  The process of elimination must begin with an analysis of what the error and crash messages tell you.

I had a Winnebago 7 that used to crash every time a deer ran into the road in front of me.

Yeah, theres a thingee where you start up with all that stuff turned off. I'm just at that point where you stop before you make a mistake. Sometimes it's best to just wait.
