But what's the rush? We don't currently NEED GMO food. So why not continue to study and refine the approach, ensuring its safety? Oh, forgot, because business doesn't do things based on right or wrong...but based on profit.

I'll let you go ahead and click the link there to see how water vapor is going to kill us all if you want to wander down that rabbit hole. Why is this relevant to the topic at hand? It was posted by the March Against Monsanto Facebook page.

Granted, it's not the only thing on that page. There are articles about how a superfood diet will cure your breast cancer; a list of foods that are "alkaline" and therefore fight cancer, gout, diabetes, and heart disease; how alum in baking powder causes Alzheimer's, and all manner of other woo.

There are certainly people within the anti-GMO movement who don't believe in chemtrails, understand enough chemistry to know that all biological systems we know of (and certainly all those we eat) are slightly acidic, and that ingesting alkaline things would be very very bad for us; that diet will not cure breast cancer. I do wonder how high a fraction that is tho. Maybe y'all should speak up.

When every piece of "evidence" put forth that GMOs are Bad Bad Bad gets proved false, fake, or just turns out to be sloppy experimental practice eventually you need to acknowledge that your commitment to this opposition is religious, not scientific. I'm glad you have an outlet for your outrage; I suppose it could be much worse. But either face down or own this tsunami of woo. You just look silly.

Do we talk about how alkalinity kills cancer cells ? The baking powder / real maple syrup treatment that causes necrosis of cancer cells ? How about cannabis oil which causes tumor necrosis ? Its the alkaloids which are the active properties. All outside the purview of conventional peer reviewed science, governed by the AMA. Cancer simply cannot live in an alkaline environment. That is well established, in spite of peer reviewed AMA approved science. We also know that turmeric blocks the 38 known cancer receptors in tumors from functioning properly.

Or GMO's ? To me what it all boils down to is a fight against the private ownership of life. Fighting against having one or two corporate entities holding patents over life forms that are essential to human existence. Too much power in one place. Food should be public domain, period end of story.

Or Chemtrails ? Its the side show. Just like UFO's. UFO's don't exist and neither do chemtrails. The .gov tells us so ... Meanwhile, for what ever reasons, corporations take ownership of life and no one see's that as a problem, except the whacko's ...
