Security Guards w/interest in Poetry | Poets w/interest in Security (potrero hill)
Date: 2012-04-17, 10:23AM PDT Reply to: 6nfw9-2963411456@gigs.craigslist.org <Errors when replying to ads?>
Wanted, Security Guards who are Poets, or Poets who can be security guards (trained or untrained in either) At a public art event, we need a team of security guards who act like security guards. Guards will act like security, but will not be the actual security for the event. You will be trained to approach people as a guard, but then to use the moment of 'checking someone' to read to them. The point of acting as a security guard is so that you can have a moment of their time, to risk your security by reading to them from your poetry, which is about security or insecurity. You may also read from someone else's writing about security, insecurity, involving security. STEPS TO BECOME A FORCE 1 training, 2 hours (unpaid training— we'll work through how you will act as a poet/security guard, vigilant and vulnerable) 1 writing (emailed or brought to meeting) +1 security tactic (developed at meeting) ————————————— YOU ARE HIRED! The event is on May 10, from 6-10pm. Pay is $10/hour for that time. Trainings will be scheduled for weekends, Mondays and Fridays tbd, based on your schedule. - it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
- Compensation: no pay
